About the Physician
Dr. Joel Beck received his M.D. from the University of California Irvine in 1996. He then spent three years of general surgery training at the University of California Davis, East Bay and completed fellowships in Burn Surgery Research/Clinical Care (UCSD) and Craniomaxillofacial Surgery (University of Mississippi). His Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency was also completed at the University of Mississippi.
Dr. Beck has always had a passion for wellness and surgical nutrition. Dr. Beck believes that integrating medical weight management into the practice is an undertaking consistent with wellness. It gives patients an opportunity to change not only their lives with respect to weight loss, but allows patients to undergo procedures they otherwise would not be candidates for.
